Argentinian transplant and not especially successful filmmaker, 53-year-old Marcelo lives in a small apartment in a modest neighborhood in Israel with his Israeli-born wife, his children, his son-in-law, his mother-in-law (and her caregiver), his grandchild and a cat.  Chaos reigns, and just when Marcelo is certain that life could not be any more stressful, his nearly blind father and charming, intellectually challenged sister – neither of whom he has seen for ten years – arrive on his doorstep, straight from Argentina, to stay for a month.   The visit proves a revelation:  Hola!…Chao is a charming tale of the bonds of family and love and the wonder of changing perspectives.
