Italy, 2025/Drama, 117 minutes/English/Directed by Guido Chiesa/ Written by Guido Chiesa and Nicolette Micheli, based on the novel The Loves of Judith by Meir Shalev

A story that spans almost half a century, For the Love of a Woman juxtaposes the story of Esther, an aimless American in the 1970s, and that of Yehudit, a recent arrival in a village of settlers in 1930s Palestine.   When, upon the death of her mother, Esther receives a letter instructing her to find a woman who lived in Palestine and keeps a secret about her life, she flies to Israel and begins her search, helped by Zayde (Ori Pfeffer, Testament), a university professor.  Together they uncover a story that ties together the threads that bind past and present, anchored by a remarkable love.
