Hungary, 2024/Comedy-drama, 86 minutes/Hungarian & Hebrew, w/subtitles/Screenplay by Ádám Breier and Bálint Csaba/ Directed by Ádám Breier

Tamás, a generous but stubborn boxing coach, gets along well with everyone but his own son, Ivan, whom he’s wanted no part of since Ivan made aliyah from Hungary and become religious in an Orthodox community in Israel.  Tamas’s beloved wife, Zsuzsa, has tried to mend that relationship for years – especially since the birth of Ivan’s son Ariel six years before – to no avail.  When Zsuzsa dies unexpectedly, Ivan insists on coming home for the funeral, obliging both father and son to face their old grievances, even as they find themselves helping Ariel deal with his own grief over his grandmother’s death.
