Not only is Fiddler on the Roof one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals, it is also a quintessentially Jewish story that somehow resonates in cultures around the world.  Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles documents this – well, miracle — interspersing a myriad of musical treats with interviews with creators Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, Joseph Stein and Hal Prince, as well as with actors who, over the last 56 years, have made the roles of Tevye, Golda, and others their own.   Together they provide a fascinating historical context for the show, and for “Tradition”:  the whirlwind of change in mid-60s America when the musical premiered was not as far removed from turn-of-the-19th-century Anatevka as one might imagine.   “[A] captivating celebration of a unique American cultural treasure,” says The Hollywood Reporter.
