Married for twenty years, Amit Tsuk has finally come out as a transgender woman to his wife, Galit, and their three children.   Despite reactions in the small Israeli town where they live, the family is steadfast in its acceptance of this new reality.  As Amit begins her transition, she is buoyed by her children’s love and support despite bullying and ostracization, and by the knowledge that Galit is by her side.  An unexpected narrative shot over a two-year period, Family in Transition is very much that:  with twists and turns and consequences both intended and not, we discover that Amit is not the only one transformed.

Winner, Best Israeli Film, DocAviv Film Festival, 2018
