Touted in late ‘30s Hollywood as “the most beautiful woman in the world,” Hedy Lamarr was far more than a pretty face: she was an inventor whose work paved the way for today’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology.   Bombshell chronicles Lamarr’s life in a time when being beautiful and brilliant was not an option, from her beginnings as the inquisitive, gifted daughter of assimilated Austrian Jews, to her international success in a scandalous film at the age of 19, to a life of being seen but not known in Hollywood.   Both inspiring and cautionary, Bombshell: the Hedy Lamarr Story restores its subject to her rightful place as a remarkable, complex, multi-faceted human being.
