The festival's opening event on May 6th is at the Jewish Community Center. All other films will be screened at The State Museum of Pennysylvania.

INSIDE HANA'S SUITCASE

"Inside Hana's Suitcase” is the poignant story of two young children who grew up in pre-WWII Czechoslovakia and the terrible events that they endured just because they happened to be born Jewish.

AJAMI
A powerful crime drama set on the streets of Jaffa’s Ajami neighborhood, a melting pot – and tinderbox -- of cultures. Yet, as the stories intersect, there is no meeting place, just a dramatic collision of different worlds with tragic, perhaps inevitable consequences.
CAMERA OBSCURA
At the end of the 19th century, a baby girl is born only feet from the New World as a ship of immigrants docks in Buenos Aires harbor. Shy and self-conscious, Gertrudis grows up and into her role as the ugly duckling in a colony of Argentinean Jews, until a chance encounter changes her life forever.
THE DEBT
“The Surgeon of Treblinka,” a Nazi monster who was never brought to trial after the war, is hunted down by a retired Mossad team who failed in their mission the first time around.
HEART OF STONE
Before 1960 Weequahic High School was known as one of the top schools in America.  By 2000 it was one of the most violent, in the 12th most dangerous city in the country. “Heart of Stone” is the true story of Weequahic High School's quest to return to its former glory, led by visionary and unconventional educator Ron Stone.
LOST ISLANDS
The Levys are a happy, noisy, colorful family living in a small town in Israel, 1980. Family loyalty is paramount in this clan; fulfilling one’s dreams comes a close second. It is only when these two goals compete directly that the idyllic world the family has created begins to splinter.
MAX MINSKY AND ME
In order to meet her big crush, Prince Edouard of Luxembourg (who happens to be the patron of a Europe-wide, soon-to-be-held girls’ basketball tournament), nerdy, 13-year-old Nelly Sue Edelmeister needs to learn how to play basketball, like, NOW – and she chooses Max Minsky, her unmotivated neighbor, to teach her.
SPRING 1941
As Nazi forces take control of Poland and exile its Jewish citizens to the ghetto, cellist Clara Planck and her doctor husband Artur flee Warsaw to the countryside with their two children. But when Artur begins an affair with the woman who is hiding them, the potential consequences are dire.
THE WEDDING SONG

The Nazi occupation of Tunisia strains the bonds of friendship between a Muslim woman and a Sephardic Jewess who are both preparing for their marriages.

YOO HOO MRS. GOLDBERG
A documentary on television pioneer Gertrude Berg. She was the creator, principal writer, and star of "The Goldbergs," a popular radio show for 17 years, which became television's very first character-driven domestic sitcom in 1949.
